Hüyük lies in western Konya, with Lake Beyşehir forming its western border and foothills of the Sultan Mountains to the north. It is best known for its strawberries: Hüyük strawberries received a geographical indication from the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office in 2021 and were registered in the European Union in 2024. According to the municipality, most of Konya’s strawberries are grown in Hüyük. The town traces its founding to 1210.
