What is cloud and systems management?

Systems management is the work of setting up, monitoring, backing up and keeping running the server, cloud and network infrastructure. We install your servers, watch them, back them up and keep them current. The goal is infrastructure that stays up around the clock without you noticing; the Pedante Bilişim team steps in before a problem grows.

Scope

• Cloud setup and migration: a planned move from existing servers to the cloud, or between clouds
• Backup and disaster recovery: regular backups, kept in a separate location, with tested restores
• Performance and cost optimisation: switching off idle resources, sizing correctly
• Monitoring and alerting: disk, memory, services and certificate expiry
• E-mail and domain management: DNS, SPF, DKIM and DMARC set up correctly
• Updates and patching: operating system and software updates applied on a plan

Why is taking backups not enough on its own?

Most organisations believe they have backups; but if a restore has never been tried, nobody knows whether the backup works. A healthy setup keeps several copies, at least one in a different location, and runs restore tests at set intervals. A disaster recovery plan answers in writing: if the server goes down, in how many hours, and in what order, do we come back up?

How does the process run?

We take an inventory of existing systems and needs, plan the cloud and backup design, migrate and install. From then on we monitor, back up and update continuously. On security we work alongside our Racurity team.
