Lice lies in northern Diyarbakır between a mountainous north and rolling plains to the south, cut by the Birkleyn, Ambar and Sarım streams. It is among the province’s most forested districts. Wheat, barley and flax grow in the fields, grapes, almonds and walnuts in the orchards, and a tomato paste factory processes local produce. The Birkleyn Caves, with Assyrian-era inscriptions and reliefs, remain little known to the wider public.
Racoun is based in Ataşehir, Istanbul, and has no office in Lice.
