Microsoft Defender and Sentinel Security Services
We protect your endpoints, email, identities and cloud apps with Microsoft Defender XDR and monitor incidents in one place with Microsoft Sentinel.
Microsoft Defender and Sentinel security means properly deploying Microsoft’s Defender XDR family across endpoints, email, identities and cloud apps, collecting their signals and other logs in Microsoft Sentinel, the cloud-native SIEM, and responding to incidents in a planned way. Many companies already own these licences, yet a Defender tenant left on default settings rarely delivers the protection people expect.
What we cover
- Defender for Endpoint and Defender for Business: onboarding through Intune or group policy, next-generation protection, EDR, automated investigation, tamper protection and attack surface reduction rules rolled out in audit mode first.
- Defender for Office 365: anti-phishing with impersonation protection, Safe Links, Safe Attachments, user reporting and attack simulation training.
- Defender for Identity and Entra ID: sensors on domain controllers to detect credential theft and lateral movement, with risk signals tied to Conditional Access.
- Defender for Cloud Apps: shadow IT discovery and control of risky OAuth apps.
- Microsoft Sentinel: data connectors, tuned analytics rules, custom KQL detections, workbooks, Logic Apps playbooks and a data plan that keeps ingestion costs under control.
- Incident response: device isolation, quarantine, session revocation, root cause analysis and reporting.
Why Pedante IT and Racurity
Racurity delivers our expert solution partners’ infrastructure with a single point of contact, covering licences, deployment, monitoring and response. Because we also manage Microsoft 365 environments, we can predict how a security policy will affect users and mail flow before it goes live. We work on site across Istanbul and remotely across Türkiye, and the first meeting is free of charge.
Frequently asked questions
Is this the same as the free Windows antivirus?
No. Defender for Endpoint and Defender for Business add EDR, automated investigation, central management and vulnerability management on top of the built-in antivirus.
What is the difference between XDR and SIEM?
XDR correlates signals from Microsoft security products into incidents, while a SIEM such as Sentinel collects and analyses logs from many other sources as well. Used together they complement each other.
