For Altunizade’s hospitals, polyclinics and medical centres, a mobile app is a continuation of the patient experience rather than a showcase. Racoun designs patient apps around the moments patients interact with the institution: booking and rescheduling, reminders and preparation instructions before tests, notifications when results are ready, directions via metro, metrobus or car, and short feedback forms after a visit.

Health data is sensitive personal data, so security is part of the architecture from day one: strong authentication, encrypted communication, no sensitive data stored on the device and discreet notification texts. Where possible, the app connects to the institution’s existing hospital information system.
