A foreign buyer may find you through search, but they choose you during a few minutes on your website. This guide looks at an export site through the buyer’s eyes.
In the first two minutes, buyers ask four questions: is this company real, can it meet my needs, does it meet my standards, and who will I talk to? Real factory photos, valid certificates with scope, verifiable capacity information and a clearly named export contact answer them better than any slogan.
Multilingual sites should be localised, not just translated: separate URLs per language, hreflang tags, local units and the terms buyers really use in each market. Starting with two or three well-made languages beats eight half-finished ones.
Keep quote forms short but useful: company, country, product, quantity, with optional drawing upload and delivery details. Connect trade fairs to your site with QR catalogues and follow-up pages, and measure which countries, products and documents lead to real quote requests.
