Short answer: Meta reviews every Instagram ad before it runs and states that most ads are reviewed within about 24 hours; many are approved much faster. New accounts, regulated categories, busy seasons and repeated edits can extend the review.
The review checks ad copy, images and video, targeting settings, the landing page and the account history. Ads can still be stopped after approval if new issues are detected.
- Prepare ads a few days ahead and schedule the start date, especially before peak seasons.
- Do not edit an ad while it is in review; creative edits usually restart the process.
- Use policy-friendly language and avoid personal attribute claims or promises.
- Keep the landing page live, fast, mobile friendly and consistent with the ad.
- If review takes unusually long, check account quality, payment status and contact business support.
Review times and policies can change, so always check the current platform rules. Racoun plans Meta campaigns around review times and pre-checks creatives and landing pages before submission.
