Most studios struggle with the same question: show every project, or curate? This guide explains how to prepare an online architecture or interior design portfolio.
Start by deciding who you want to speak to; your portfolio should reflect the work you want to win next. Feature eight to twelve strong projects and keep the rest in a filterable archive. Choose projects with strong photography, a story worth telling and a design language that reflects your studio today.
Plan photo shoots carefully: check the light, prepare the space, capture wide shots and details, include a few frames with people and shoot vertical images and short clips for social media. Clarify image rights and credit the photographer.
Give every project consistent credits and a short narrative covering context, idea, execution and outcome. Add sketches and models, respect client privacy and only list real awards and publications. Finally, build a simple routine so the portfolio stays current.
