In Türkiye there is no separate “logo registration”; a logo is protected by filing it as a trademark (figurative or combined word and figure mark) with the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office (TÜRKPATENT).
- Finalise the logo design before filing.
- Run a similarity search, ideally with an expert.
- Select the goods and services classes under the Nice Classification.
- File the application online, personally or through an authorised trademark attorney.
- The office examines the application, then publishes it in the Official Trademark Bulletin, opening an opposition period.
- If no successful opposition occurs, the registration fee is paid and the certificate is issued.
- Protection lasts ten years from filing and can be renewed.
Fees and procedures change, so confirm the current rules with the office and a trademark attorney or lawyer. Registration in Türkiye protects the mark only in Türkiye.
