Google Business Profile is free. Creating and verifying a profile, updating details, uploading photos, posting updates, replying to reviews and viewing insights all cost nothing, and there is no paid premium version.
Costs only arise from optional choices:
- Google ads that show your business as sponsored in local or map results; this budget goes to Google and does not change organic rankings.
- Professional photography and video.
- A website linked from the profile.
- Agency management and local SEO services, priced by scope such as number of locations, content frequency and reporting.
Be careful with callers claiming to be from Google who ask for payment to keep or rank your listing. Google does not charge for profiles or sell organic positions. Never share verification codes or passwords and always keep primary ownership yourself. Racoun sets up profiles in the client’s own account and does not take media commission on ad budgets.
