This guide explains how to plan a Microsoft 365 migration step by step. Start with an honest inventory: users, shared mailboxes, mailbox sizes, where email and files live today, who controls DNS and which other systems send email, such as website forms, ERP or printers. Choose licences by user profile instead of giving everyone the same plan, and pick the right migration method: cutover, staged or hybrid from Exchange, IMAP from hosted mail, or the built-in tools for Google Workspace.
