Short answer: Instagram ads are charged in US dollars because the connected Meta ad account was created with USD as its currency, often unnoticed when a post was first boosted from the app. The currency generally cannot be switched on an existing account; to pay in Turkish lira you use a new ad account set to that currency.
Paying in dollars brings exchange rate swings, possible bank fees and cards being declined for foreign transactions. Meta invoices from abroad, so tax obligations on imported digital services may apply; confirm details with your accountant.
- Settle any outstanding balance and export reports.

- Connect Instagram, Facebook page, pixel and catalog, then rebuild campaigns.
- Pause the old account and make sure boosts use the new one.
