Google suspends or restricts a Business Profile when it detects or suspects a breach of its guidelines for representing businesses. The most common causes are:
- Keywords or district names added to the business name.
- Virtual offices, PO boxes or addresses where customers are not served.
- Duplicate profiles for the same business and location.
- Ineligible businesses, such as online-only operations.
- Frequent, large edits and mismatched website details.
- Fake or incentivised reviews.
Do not open a new profile. Read the notice, fix the violation, prepare evidence such as signage photos, interior images and official documents whose name and address match the profile, then submit one complete appeal through Google’s process. Reinstatement is Google’s decision. Racoun analyses violations, prepares evidence files, follows the appeal and aligns profile and website data to prevent repeat suspensions.
