Havran is a farming district just behind the Gulf of Edremit, running from the foothills of Kaz Mountains to the plain. Two of its products have recently been registered as geographical indications: the early, easy-peel Havran mandarin and the dark, aromatic Havran black fig. Add the olive groves and Havran’s story is clear: this is a growers’ district.
Racoun has worked from Ataşehir, Istanbul since 2012. We serve Havran growers online and schedule shoot days in the orchards around harvest.
A registered name is a starting point, not a brand. We help growers build their own product brand and packaging that uses the registered name correctly. For the short mandarin season we set up pre-order shops on our own platform, with no monthly licence, ready before harvest. For fresh figs we recommend nearby markets and wholesale, and e-commerce for dried and processed products. Selling oil, mandarins and figs in one shop keeps customers through the year. We take no media commission.
