In general, selling on Trendyol on a regular basis requires a tax-registered business that can issue invoices. It does not have to be a limited or joint-stock company; many new sellers start as a sole proprietorship.
- Sole proprietorship: faster and simpler to set up, but the owner is personally liable and profits are taxed under income tax.
- Limited or joint-stock company: more paperwork, but a separate legal entity that can suit partnerships and growth.
Typical application documents include a tax certificate, identity and signature authority documents, bank details and contact information; some categories require extra permits or brand authorisation. Exemptions for very small home-based sellers exist in Turkish tax law, but their scope and platform acceptance can change, so confirm with your accountant and the platform’s current seller rules. Consumer law and data protection duties apply to every seller. Racoun supports the digital side: product content, marketplace integration and a custom-built online store alongside the marketplace.
