Under Turkey’s data protection law (KVKK), most websites need several texts that reflect their real data flows:
- Privacy (information) notice explaining who processes data, why, on what legal basis and with whom it is shared.
- Explicit consent texts only where no other legal basis applies, kept separate from the notice and never pre-ticked.
- Cookie policy and consent panel with an equally visible reject option for non-essential cookies.
- Data subject request method so visitors can exercise their rights.
- Privacy and security policy to build trust.
Online stores also publish a distance sales contract, pre-information form and return terms, and anyone sending marketing messages must manage consent and the national commercial message system. Texts should be reviewed by a lawyer. Racoun builds sites with KVKK-ready forms and cookie panels as standard.
