Short answer: Under OpenAI’s ad policies, adult content, alcohol, tobacco and nicotine, gambling, drugs and cannabis, crypto, debt relief, political content, legal services, counterfeit goods, scams and unproven health claims cannot be advertised in ChatGPT. Financial and healthcare services are restricted to approved advertisers and, for now, largely to the United States.
Landing pages and rejections
Landing pages must match the ad, be reviewable and must not lead to prohibited content. Ads must be accurate and must not imitate the ChatGPT or OpenAI interface. If an ad is rejected, identify whether the issue is the copy, the image, the landing page or the product itself, fix what can be fixed and check OpenAI’s current documentation for review options.
Turkish regulations
Advertisers in Turkey must also follow local rules: healthcare promotion is restricted, the Union of Turkish Bar Associations bans advertising by lawyers, and customer lists and tracking fall under KVKK. Seek legal advice for your sector.
Why workarounds are risky
Disguising categories or showing different pages to reviewers and users can lead to platform sanctions, legal liability and lasting damage to brand trust. Racoun checks policy fit before every ChatGPT ads management engagement.
